This course is designed to introduce students to some of the major religious traditions observed around the world. Students will be introduced to some of the contemporary issues facing organized religion and how they relate to the study and understanding of religion. Students will take part in a discussion concerning the role of religious practices in the world today and their effects on society and culture.
